The work of ongoing Musahar Basti Re-built campaign started by Dhurmus Suntali Foundation has been completed by 50% within 45 days. The community that was inaugurated by popular comedians Hari Bansha Acharya and Madan Krishna Shrestha is taking shape rapidly.
The community long living under the shadow of illiteracy, unemployment, lack of awareness and many more crisis is now seeing a new light of hopes and thus after half of the completion, every people in Musahar are excited for days to come. As per Dhurmus Suntali Foundation’s Project Manager Arjun Neupane, wall of 48 houses has been completed for first level while the inner parts of 6 houses are on the verge of completion. According to him, if there are enough helps then at the speed of the work rate, the village will be handed as per the planning in Nepali New Year.
On the other hand, chairman of Dhurmus Suntali Foundation, Mr. Sitaram Kattel and Ms. Kunjana Ghimire are working day and night at the site immediately after their return from Australia. They said with the co-ordination and help from people, the work is going smoothly. Mr. Kattel also said, “We are getting help from people now and then, however if the estimated budget can be collected in pre determined time, the people of Mushar will get their new home as soon as possible”. Saying so, he requested people to contribute and give hands in this massive campaign.
While the estimated budget for this project is Rupees 47,800,000 (47 million rupees), as per date the foundation has already collected Rs. 25,800,000. According to Admin & Finance Officer of Dhurmus Suntali Foundation, Saroj Jung Khatri, there is still need of Rs. 20,000,000 more. He further said if all the payments done and those which are dues and are payable accounted till date, the foundation’s expenses has already crossed Rs. 20,000,000.
